Working with Highlight Planning, Bryn Aggregates has unveiled proposals for new and improved community benefits as part of our plans for the quarry at Gelliargwellt Uchaf.
Plans include a new kickabout football pitch, circular nature walk around the Waun Rydd SINC, a public viewing platform, and educational resources and interpretation panels. In addition, the proposed quarry extension has been reduced in size - meaning it will remain further away from neighbouring houses than previous proposals - and also a six-year reduction in the timescale of the project.
The improved proposals have been designed following discussions with planning officers, ecologists, and engineers.
Public consultation about these new plans for the quarry are underway until 14 June 2024. Documents can be viewed on the Highlight Planning website, where you can also leave feedback and comments.
