Never afraid of getting wet, I will be taking a leisurely 13 mile stroll with my best bud, Nicola Hopcraft across Bannau Brycheiniog this Saturday (15 June 2024) in aid of Cancer Research UK.
We thought better of attempting the full marathon and decided the 10K was a wimp out. Therefore, we will join hundreds of CRUK ‘Big Hike’ fundraisers in trekking a half-marathon over the Beacons in whatever the Welsh weather throughs at us.
Both our families have been affected by cancer, so it’s a cause close to our hearts. Having lost her gran to skin cancer, Nicola says she’ll be slathered in Factor 50, whatever the weather.
